It's been a busy and rewarding two years for Georgia Fall. From the launch of their debut album 'Love The Hard Way' to two national tours with ongoing support from corporate sponsor NRMA Business Motoring, the band has had some incredible experiences - both professionally and personally. However, after a solid year and a half on the road together, guitarist and close friend James Bernauer has announced his departure from Georgia Fall to pursue his passion in other areas of the music industry.
A message from Mellissa and Paul...
James informed us of his intentions to move on from the band a few months ago. We had mixed emotions about the news at the time and were honestly a little shocked. Having spent the best part of two years together on the road, sharing cars and hotels, we all became extremely close and consider GF our little family. So naturally we were disappointed to be losing such a close friend as a band mate.
Initially the thought of a line up change at this point was concerning, but when we thought about the very nature of bands and human relationships we realised there is certainly a positive way to look at the future of Georgia Fall with this change. Bands part with members all the time, it's just the way it is. But the thing that makes James' departure so unique is that there is no resentment or hard feelings between us. Our relationship with James is far from that.
We’re very close with James and wish nothing but the best for him in all his future endeavours. We're very proud to have spent this milestone period in our careers with him, and we just know whatever he involves himself in will be a great success.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you, our fans, for your ongoing support and to assure the world that Georgia Fall is FAR from over. We never for a second thought about leaving this all behind and we are ready to take on the next chapter of the bands' journey.. which is set to be an exciting one!!
We can't wait to share with you what we have install and we hope to see you all at a show soon.. stay tuned!!
