INTRODUCING JASON, AND A NEW LOOK FOR GEORGIA FALL
It's a new era, a fresh sound and there's a new lineup for Georgia Fall. The band has been eager to announce their very good friend and new member Jason McGregor for some time.
But there's a story that follows this new partnership. Besides having been friends with Jason for over 10 years, he also made a massive contribution to the bands' debut album "Love The Hard Way" on which he recorded most of the guitars. Leaving his mark from the very beginning, Jason played a critical role in developing the GF sound as it's known today.
"We've known each other for so long and have worked together on session gigs, so it just felt right to invite him to be involved in all of this," explains Paul. "Jason was actually heavily involved in the recording process for Love The Hard Way, so we're pumped to have him on board as a permanent band member now. The chemistry just works!"
"We were very decisive when it came to inviting someone into our band and our lives. As you spend most of your time with each other on the road, having a friend like Jason made our decision much easier," said Mellissa.
"When Paul and Mell first approached me to be a part of Georgia Fall I was flattered and excited. I could see how hard the band has worked to get to where they are now and thought this is something I really wanted to be apart of. I like to share my love of music with like minded people," Jason explains.
Jason is a national finger-style champion and is well known for his work as guitarist for major recording & touring artist Adam Brand. He has also spent time on the road with the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, The Voice's Luke Kennedy and ARIA chart topping artist Paulini.
"Having been friends for years, it all just feels right. We're writing new music with a fresh take. I'm very excited to incorporate male lead vocals into the bands' sound," said Mellissa.
It's an exciting new prospect for the band. Georgia Fall is set to release new music before the end of the year with more touring set to follow. It's the beginning of a new chapter in their music and their lives. "We can't wait to share this with the world," Georgia Fall.
